Sorry

Sorry for not posting anything for ages. My family and I went on holidays for a month and we only got back three weeks ago. Then I went on holidays again to my grandparents house and now the easter holidays have only just finished.

So I am still getting used to being home and getting back into things.

I will try to post more often now.

My Problem with reading books

I seem to have a massive problem with reading books, I start to read a book and enjoy it but no matter how hard I try I can finish it. I have only ever finished one chapter book in my life.

Elise is always trying to get me to read a book or two, but even if I start reading it I can never finish the book, sometimes I never even reach the half way mark. 

I don't know whether it's because I have other interests, get sick of the book, or something else completely.

If you remember I did a post on the Seven Little Australians and the Phantom Toll Booth, well I did the post while I was reading the books but I didn't finish either one of them.

Hopefully one day I will be able to finish another Book. :)

Holidays

Sorry I haven't posted any thing lately, our family has been away on holidays at our grandparents place.

They have a nice big house on a bay, and live a few minutes from the beach. We did lots of things like fishing, swimming, sailing and other holiday treats like renting movies, having fish and chips, having prawns and going to the beach after dinner.(Since it is was daylight saving).

We all caught a fish each( Well those who went fishing) but only my big brother and I caught a fish that was big enough to eat. I caught a Flathead and my big brother caught a Brim. Although after catching two keepers, we anded up spending $15 on bait.(I wonder if it was worth it.)

The beach was a lot of fun as well, we went swimming, went up to the lookout and looked at rock pools.

All up we had a heap of fun.

Christmas Time

I simply love Christmas time. Everyone puts up their Christmas tree, put lights around their houses, go Christmas shopping, and all those other things.

We don't put Christmas lights around our house, but we have a big Christmas that we decorate with lights, tinsel, and lots of different decorations. Everyone loves it when we put up our Christmas tree.

Every year a few nights before Christmas we all go for a drive after dinner and look at all the Christmas lights. 

On Christmas eve, we go to our church for the Christmas eve service, where Grace, Elise and I play Christmas carols for the church. When we get home and get ready for bed, we make jokes I make jokes with my two brothers that in the middle of the night we'll get up and open our presents to see what we've got, then rap them up again as if we never even touched them.

On Christmas morning, all our brothers and sisters ( apart from Elise) get up really early to look at all the presents under the Christmas tree, though we try really hard not to look at the tags, otherwise depending on who it's for, we try and guess what it is.

Then finally once our mum, dad and Elise a out of bed, we open all the presents. Then we have bacon and eggs for breakfast. For the rest of the day we enjoy our presents or go down to our grand parents house and spend the day there.

So that is what we do at Christmas time.
